Prof. Dr. Julio Cesar dos Reis

Prof. Dr. Julio Cesar dos Reis

Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing, University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Worked as a Research Assistant at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, Luxembourg. He holds a Habilitation in Computer Science from UNICAMP (2020), a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Paris-Sud XI, France (2014), an MSc. in Computer Science from IC/UNICAMP (2011), and a B. Tech. in Informatics from the Faculty of Technology, UNICAMP (2008). His research interests include Natural Language Understanding, Generative and Agentic Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Graphs, Computational Ontologies, Semantic Information Retrieval and Representation, and Human-AI Interaction.

Prof. Dr. José Ricardo Pelaquim Mendes

Prof. Dr. José Ricardo Pelaquim Mendes

Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. He received his B.S. in Physics from UNICAMP in 1995, followed by his M.S. (1998) and Ph.D. (2001) in Petroleum Engineering from UNICAMP. His research interests include drilling engineering, well completion, tubular mechanics, and well integrity.

Prof. Dr. Leandro Aparecido Villas

Prof. Dr. Leandro Aparecido Villas

Associate Professor at the Institute of Computing, University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (Level 1D), and coordinator of the (H.IAAC) Hub for Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Architectures at UNICAMP. Currently Director at IC/UNICAMP. He is a co-author of over 80 journal articles, four book chapters, and more than 200 conference articles.

Prof. Dr. Allan Mariano

Prof. Dr. Allan Mariano

Assistant Professor at the Institute of Computing, University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He holds a degree in Computer Science from Eurípedes de Marília University Center (2013), a master’s (2016) and doctorate (2021) in Computer Science from UNICAMP, with joint supervision at the University of Bern, Switzerland. His research areas include Intelligent Transportation Systems, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, and Vehicular Networks. His master’s and doctoral theses received awards from UNICAMP, the University of Bern, and the Brazilian Computer Society.

Dr. Eryck Pedro da Silva

Dr. Eryck Pedro da Silva

He received the B.Sc. degree in computer science in 2016 and the M.Sc. degree in Informatics in 2017, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Brazil) in 2024. Dr. Eryck has previously conducted research on educational informatics, particularly in computer science education, and has developed educational artifacts for K-12 and undergraduate students in introductory programming. Among his current interests are Computer Science Education, Artificial Intelligence in Education, and Formative Assessment.

Dr. Frances Santos

Dr. Frances Santos

Data & AI Solutions Manager at 4flow. He previously served as Artificial Intelligence Manager at Sinch AB until October 2025. Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Campinas (2024), with a sandwich doctorate at the University of Ottawa, Canada.Visiting researcher for six months at Ontario Tech University, Canada, in 2017. His research interests include Social Network Analysis and Mining, Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Machine Learning.

M.Sc. Aissa Hadj Mohamed

M.Sc. Aissa Hadj Mohamed

Computer Scientist with a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Campinas and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa. His background includes deep learning, federated learning, and applied statistics. Currently investigating Large Language Model (LLM) agents, focusing on memory reflection mechanisms to improve their effectiveness and reliability in real-world applications.

Carlos Mazzuco

Carlos Mazzuco

Electrical Engineer graduated from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas, specializing in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for 38 years at Petrobras in various areas of the offshore oil and gas industry. For the past 4 years he has worked as an independent consultant.
